Its wings, painted with layers of colour and light, suggest movement and freedom, while the golden threads add a touch of magic, hinting at something greater beyond the frame. As I near the end, I find myself refining the details - the subtle glint in the bird’s eye, the texture of its feathers, and the way the threads seem to dance with the starlight. It’s a delicate balance, and I’m savouring every moment of this final stage.

A young husky pup had been found at the bottom of a rubbish bin - left to die in the sweltering summer heat. A passerby heard faint whimpering, and when the bin was tipped over, amid rotting food and debris, there he was. Barely 4.5 months old, broken-legged, dehydrated, and slipping away.

They called him Ghost because he tried to disappear. Because he’d learned that being seen meant suffering.

Something in me knew I had to meet him.

So next time you see a crow, don’t turn away.

Look up. Look inward.

What are they trying to show you?
What message do they carry on the wind?

I believe they appear for a reason.
They’re not just birds.
They are messengers of the sacred.

The animals I paint are not trends—they are messengers. Each one has shown up in my life (or yours) with purpose. When I paint them, I’m not just painting their form—I’m honouring their spirit, their story, and the sacred role they play in connecting us to God.

Animals are more than companions. They are reflections. Messengers. Mirrors of our soul.
The ones we feel closest to often carry the values we cherish most deeply.
They echo our inner truths with a softness the world often forgets.

This painting is called Bumble, not just for the bee, but for the child I was… and the mother who saw me.

Mouse’s story is one of quiet resilience, divine timing, and the sacred bond that can form between a human and a small creature who simply needed to be seen. He was never just a cat. He was a gift.

Through this, I am reminded that the Divine often looks like a quiet breath shared in companionship, an invisible thread spun from love and the yearning to ascend.

The horse came to me as a vision of arrival. Not rushing. Not resisting. Just standing in golden light, breathing with the world. Around him flew a bee and hummingbirds — delicate, ancient, sacred. They carried messages I didn’t hear, but deeply felt.

From the earliest days I can remember, animals have been the golden thread weaving peace, purpose, and presence into the fabric of my life. But it was the horse that first whispered to my soul.

Fleeting Freedom was born from one of those moments. A black horse emerged in my vision, not galloping, but gliding — as if running through a prayer. Her mane moved like water, her hooves barely touched the earth, and around her danced hummingbirds.

The Morrígan isn’t here to comfort.
