The Story:
This painting explores a moment of recognition between human and animal, where trust, presence and connection become visible. A white horse stands beside a woman whose golden aura is seen only by animals, while threads of gold begin to intertwine, forming the first strands of the rope that will eventually lead to heaven.
Through light, atmosphere and symbolism, the painting reflects my belief that animals help us recognise something deeper within ourselves. It is both a spiritual encounter and a relationship, inviting the viewer to consider the bonds that exist beyond words and the ways animals shape our understanding of meaning, trust and belonging.
