2022 | Original Mixed Media and Oil Painting
24 × 18 inches | Mixed media and oil on canvas
From the Early Works Collection, 2018–2024
A Moment Beyond Time was created during a period when I was beginning to explore how to express the connection I have always felt with animals.
The woman and fox share a quiet moment of recognition, while a fragmented clock represents my fascination with the passing of time, its limitations, and the importance of making the most of the moments we have.
The rose, my favourite flower, adds a personal element to the composition.
At this stage in my artistic journey, I was experimenting with materials, textures and symbolism, searching for a visual language that could communicate something I had always felt but had not yet found the words to express.
Looking back, I can see the beginnings of the ideas that would eventually develop into The Golden Threads, particularly the belief that our connections with animals transcend words and that the time we share with them is precious.
An original painting from my early artistic explorations, offered unframed.
