This painting is a tribute to The Morrígan, the ancient Irish goddess of transformation, war, and sovereignty. Known as the Phantom Queen, she appears in the form of a crow or raven, foreshadowing the tides of battle, the endings that forge beginnings, and the fierce truth of feminine power.
Rendered in blues, rich golds, and dark threads of ink, the goddess in this piece rises from ancestral shadow, crowned by ravens and carved by elemental strength. Her hair flows into crow feathers. Her heart listens to the land. She is not afraid to speak what must be said.
Inspired by my Irish heritage, this painting was created as a one-off, channelled through story, dream, and instinct. A sacred feminine force - uncontainable, untamed, and timeless.
