Golden threads that form into a golden rope

My paintings follow the moments when animals do not simply pass through life but arrive, foxes pausing at the edge of a field, horses standing close without being asked, birds hovering where the air feels thinner than usual. I paint the golden threads of light that form in these encounters, threads that gather slowly over a lifetime into a path heavenward. Each work belongs to a larger narrative told in chapters: a life shaped by listening, trust, and the quiet guidance animals bring.

I believe animals are messengers.

Not in a dramatic way - but in a quiet, steady way that speaks to the parts of us that already know.

Throughout my life, animals have appeared at meaningful moments: rescues who arrived when healing was needed, wild animals who lingered unexpectedly, companions who felt like family the moment our paths crossed.

I believe these encounters are not random.

I see them as part of a golden thread - an invisible connection between us, animals, nature, and something greater than ourselves. A thread of guidance, protection, and remembrance.

In my paintings, this thread appears as light, presence, and connection. It shapes the way animals stand beside the human figure, the way their eyes meet, and the calm that settles into the space around them.

Collectors often tell me they feel “chosen” by a painting.
I believe that’s the thread at work - connecting the right message to the right home.
