Some names fade over time. Others become sacred.

My mum used to call me Bumble when I was little. I can still hear her voice - soft, amused, calling me in from the garden, or laughing when I was busy doing something curious. That name was a hug.

She passed away a couple of years ago, and since then, I’ve seen bumblebees at the most unexpected times. In the dead of winter. In places they shouldn’t be. Always gentle. Always arriving like a whisper from the other side.

I painted this small colour study in her memory. A moment in ochre and gold. A bee caught in its quiet work - the kind of presence that doesn’t ask for attention, but leaves you changed.

This painting is called Bumble, not just for the bee, but for the child I was… and the mother who saw me.

It’s a tribute not only to her, but to the way grief carries love forward - in wings, in names, in the smallest living things.

May it bring a little light to your memory, too.

I am a spiritual painter guided by a golden thread that connects animals, soul, and God. Through my paintings I reveal animals as mirrors, maps, and messengers - each one a sacred whisper from heaven.
